Whimsical Art Exhibition Coming To Fort Lee Library FORT LEE, N.J. -- The Fort Lee Library will present a unique multi-media art exhibition by local artist Jingwen Ma as its lobby showcase through September. "Missimomo" is a collection of personal work from the past five years. Ma "loves to dream up whimsical characters and worlds to paint," organizers note. Register Now For Glen Rock Arboretum's Kids Nature Journaling Workshops GLEN ROCK, N.J.– The Thielke Arboretum is bringing back its nature journaling program for elementary-school kids, for the fourth year. Session 1 is for kids entering K-2. It will meet Monday and Tuesday, Aug. 29-30, from 9:30-11:30 a.m. The cost is $40 and includes materials. Session 2 is for rising third- through fifth-graders. Danbury Students Receive President’s Volunteer Service Award DANBURY, Conn. -- Twenty-three local youths were recently honored with the President's Volunteer Service Award, for their service with the Youth Volunteer Corps of Western Connecticut. These young folks served 50 or more hours at local nonprofits and community agencies in the greater Danbury area. Senior Dog Missing In Norwalk NORWALK, Conn. -- Norwalk residents are looking for their missing Australian Shepherd mix, Brody, who was last seen on Scribner Heights and Spicewood Road. Brody is a large senior dog, with long, reddish-brown hair. He has urinary incontinence and suffers from irritable bowel if he eats kibble. He's on a raw diet. Brody has been missing since July 4. Several Weeks Left For Garfield Boys & Girls Club Summer Day Camp GARFIELD, N.J. -- There are still several sessions left in the Boys & Girls Club of Garfield's summer program, which is a full-day camp for post-kindergarten 6-year-olds through 17-year-olds. The sessions run Monday through Friday, and are filled on a first-come, first-serve basis. Campers are grouped by age, with a designated group leader and aide.
