Family-Friendly Hastings Flea Returns This Sunday
HASTINGS-ON-HUDSON, N.Y. -- The Hastings Flea returns this Sunday and besides offering a varied shopping experience, the day features a wide variety of family-friendly activities, including children's concerts and critters.
Vendors will be selling unique, locally made and collected items. There will be vintage and antique items, home goods, mid-century modern furniture, records, comics, classic posters, up-cycled goods, hand-crafted clothing, jewelry, crafts and more.

Et-meets-Othello Part Of Upcoming RCC Shakespeare Performances
SUFFERN, N.Y. -- The Rockland Shakespeare Company is bringing a series of free performances to Suffern, with its 19th season -- beginning on Thursday, July 7, and running through Sunday, July 24.
The performances include a traditional presentation of Othello, a modern version of "The Winter's Tale" and an extraterrestrial-themed version of "Othello" -- titled "EThello."

Wyckoff Store Holds 'Kitten Shower' On Adoption Day
WYCKOFF, N.J. -- Pet Value, in Wyckoff, is partnering with Hawthorne's A Pathway to Hope animal rescue, to bring an adoption event and "kitten shower," to collect donations, on Sunday, July 17.
"It's kitten season and our local rescue is full of adorable, adoptable kittens!" organizers note.

Love Llamas Up Close At Carmel Library Next Wednesday
CARMEL, N.Y. -- Locals will soon get the chance to learn up close about cute and quirky llamas, as Hudson Valley Llamas brings some to the Kent Public Library on Wednesday, July 13.Hudson Valley Llamas will talk about their llamas, and people will be able to get close, pet them and take pictures.

Take A Cannonball Tour At Keeler Tavern, Aldrich Museum In Ridgefield
RIDGEFIELD, Conn. -- Of the two cannonballs currently on Main Street, one was fired in earnest, in 1777, and another was fired recently, in the name of art. Locals are encouraged to take a gander at both, and share the experience.
The "real" cannonball is at Keeler Tavern Museum, and it was fired into the tavern during 1777's Battle of Ridgefield. You can see it on the outside of the Keeler Tavern Museum today.
The museum is open for guided tours Wednesday, Saturday and Sunday, from 1-4 p.m, and visitors can hear about the battle.
