Mahopac Driver Found Sleeping Behind Wheel Charged YORKTOWN, N.Y. -- A Mahopac man was arrested Sunday after the car he was driving was found stopped in the middle of the exit ramp from the Taconic State Parkway to Route 6. Corey D. Biddle, 20, was arrested on charges of driving while ability impaired by drugs, a misdemeanor, and unlawful possession of marijuana, a violation. State Police from the Hawthorne barracks found Biddle sleeping behind the wheel. Further investigation revealed that Biddle was impaired by drugs. Biddle was issued appearance tickets returnable to the Town of Yorktown Court on Feb. 19.

Among the top prospects in New York are Iona Prep's Qadir Sheppard and Archbishop Stepinac's Brandon Coleman. Sheppard, an outside linebacker, is expected to commit to Syracuse. Florence Szabo, 93, Lifelong Resident Of Fairfield FAIRFIELD, Conn. -- Florence Lillian Szabo, 93, died on Sunday, Feb. 1, at Carolton Convalescent Hospital in Fairfield. She is survived by her son, Alexander (Barbara) Szabo Jr.; daughter Patti (John) Kujan, all of Fairfield; four grandchildren and three great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Alexander. Friends are invited to attend a graveside service at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 4 at St. Thomas Cemetery in Fairfield. Arrangements are in the care of the Fairfield Funeral Home of Edmund W. Dougiello, 36 South Pine Creek Road.

James was born in Chattanooga, Tenn. on July 1, 1936. He was a long time friend of Pat and Tina Torraco. As a man of the street, James had touched the lives of many. Former Day School Teacher In Mamaroneck Charged With Having Child Porn MOUNT VERNON, N.Y. -- A Mount Vernon man and former teacher at Westchester Day School in Mamaroneck was charged with  possession and receipt of child pornography.  Lyle Kamlet, 62, is charged with one count of receiving child pornography, which carries a mandatory minimum sentence of five years in prison and a maximum sentence of 20 years in prison, and one count of possessing child pornography, which carries a maximum sentence of 10 years in prison.
