Bridgeport Felon Gets 5 Years in Prison for Possession Of Stolen Gun BRIDGEPORT, Conn. -- A Bridgeport man was sentenced to 62 months in prison Friday for being a felon in possession of a firearm, and for violating his supervised release from a previous federal conviction. Rahshim Carter, 26, also known as “Jinks” and “Mace,” was sentenced by U.S. District Judge Michael P. Shea in Hartford. Middle School Squash Team At Greenwich's Sacred Heart Wins National Title GREENWICH, Conn. --  Convent of the Sacred Heart's middle school squash team won the 2015 U.S. Middle School national championship last month at Yale University. The team won their first of four matches against St. Luke’s School of New Canaan, 4-1, followed by a 4-1 win against Shipley of Philadephia. In the semifinals, the team edged East Rock of Connecticut, 3-2. In a close final match against New Canaan Country School, Convent of the Sacred Heart earned a 3-2 decision.
