Danbury Big Chili 5K Steps Off Sunday DANBURY, Conn. -- The Big Chili 5k begins Sunday at 10 a.m. at the Danbury Sports Dome. The  3.1 mile race starts at the Dome, 25 Shelter Rock Lane. Leroy McDonald, 64, Lived In Bridgeport BRIDGEPORT, Conn. -- Leroy McDonald, 64, of Bridgeport, died on Tuesday, Feb. 24. He was born in Conway, South Carolina, to the late Reba Mae Conner-McDonald and Levy McDonald. He was educated in the Conway Public School System and was a graduate of Whittemore High School. McDonald was employed as a factory worker and a tradesman for several companies before his health declined. He was a member of the New Covenant Church of God. His passion was cooking good, down-home Southern meals.
