Driver Cited After Hitting School Bus In South Jersey Chain-Reaction Crash An Atlantic County woman was cited after her SUV caused a chain-reaction crash and hit the back of a school bus in Egg Harbor Township, authorities said. Egg Harbor Township police said officers responded to a crash involving a school bus westbound on the Black Horse Pike. Female Business Owner Brutally Attacked By Man In South Jersey: Police A female business owner in Atlantic County was brutally attacked by a man who tried to sexually assault her, authorities said. Dashawn Cooper, 37, of Pleasantville was arrested on Monday, Feb. 19, the Absecon Police Department said in a news release. Officers responded to a 911 call from a store in the downtown business district at around 3:30 p.m. Investigators said Cooper entered the business and attacked the store owner unprovoked. Teen's Friends Rush Him To Hospital After Shooting In Ocean County: Police A teen boy was injured in a late-night shooting in Ocean County, authorities said. Lakewood police said the Toms River Police Department reported a 16-year-old boy was brought to Community Medical Center with a gunshot wound to his leg just after 10:30 p.m. on Monday, Feb. 19. Power Knocked Out For Hundreds In Eatontown, Crews Investigating More than 500 customers were without power in a Monmouth County borough, officials said. According to the outage map for Jersey Central Power & Light (JCP&L), at least 585 customers lost electricity near the intersection of routes 35 and 36 in Eatontown, as of 11:30 a.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 20. Eatontown police said it was unclear what caused the power outages but no vehicle crash had been reported. JCP&L crews were responding to the scene. JCP&L said power should be restored by around 2:30 p.m.

Man Stopped Moving Car, Threw Rocks In Attempted Atlantic County Carjacking: Police A Mays Landing man was arrested after he tried to steal someone's vehicle and threw rocks at it in Atlantic County, authorities said. Absecon police responded to a carjacking incident happening on Route 30 just before 8:30 a.m. on Sunday, Feb. 20, the department said in a news release. Four Inches Of Snow Forecasted Along Jersey Shore Overnight Many parts of the Jersey Shore avoided the snow during a pre-Valentine's Day winter storm, but the coast doesn't appear to be dodging it this time. The National Weather Service said the Jersey Shore could see two to four inches of snow overnight and in the morning on Saturday, Feb. 17. All counties in South Jersey are under a winter weather advisory for the duration of the storm, with some winter storm warnings expected. Man Wanted For Attempted Murder Of Atlantic City Convenience Store Worker Atlantic City police are looking for a homeless man who's wanted for attempted murder, authorities said. Francisco Bonilla, 34, of Atlantic City, is accused of stabbing a convenience store employee, the city's police department announced on Friday, Feb. 16. Dogs Up For Adoption After Escaping Hoarding Situation In Atlantic County Several dogs rescued from an Atlantic County hoarding situation are ready to find their forever homes. Some of the 25 dogs saved from a Galloway home are now up for adoption, the township's police department said on Thursday, Feb. 15. The dogs and one cat were found in poor conditions at a Zurich Avenue home on Saturday, Feb. 10. Officers also discovered a dead dog on the property.
