Connecticut Gas Prices Rise, But Remain Below Last Year FAIRFIELD COUNTY, Conn. -- Connecticut's gas prices have risen to become the eighth highest in the nation week, according to AAA Northeast.  The average gas price has risen 7 cents from last week to $2.24 and 26 cents from this time last month. Average prices across the state are still 33 cents lower than they were at this time last year, according to AAA.
