Dutchess County Kicks Off Tavern Trail DUTCHESS COUNTY, N.Y. -- The Historic Tavern Trail of Dutchess County will showcase local history and cuisine at historic restaurants and taverns on the second Friday of every month from May through October. Hammond Museum Hosts Digital Photography Workshop NORTH SALEM, N.Y. -- The Hammond Museum will host a four-hour digital photography workshop throughout May and June. Robert Uricchio, winner of Hammond's Third Art Competition, will teach the workshop. Rockland Legislature Backs Safe Staffing For Quality Care Act The Rockland County Legislature voted 15-0 on Tuesday, May 3, in favor of urging state legislators to pass the Safe Staffing for Quality Care Act. “It is clear that this law is needed to insure appropriate nursing staff is always in place,” Legislator Aney Paul said. “Nurses are on the front line when it comes to providing quality care. If there are more nurses, there is a better outcome for patients and the facility.” Paul is the resolution's main sponsor.
