Local Restaurateur Opens Second Eatery In Tarrytown TARRYTOWN, N.Y. -- Local restaurateur Hassan Jarane opened Pik Nik, his second restaurant in Tarrytown, last month, according to The Journal News. Pik Nik serves barbecue items, such as pulled Pik Nik shoulder, beef brisket, fried and smoked chicken, smoked sausage, St. Louis ribs and Southern-themed desserts, The Journal News reported.  Located in a former deli, the restaurant features a daily specials menu with smoked meats, such as wild board, turkey wings, salmon and porchetta, The Journal News said. Yorktown Artist Displays Works At Riverside Galleries In Garrison PUTNAM COUNTY, N.Y. -- The Riverside Galleries at Garrison Art Center will exhibit the works of Yorktown artist Christopher Manning from Saturday, May 21 through Sunday, June 19.  As a mixed media artist, Manning works in sculpture, photography, drawing and collage. Manning is a professor of Visual Art at Manhattanville College and the exhibitions coordinator at the Aldrich Contemporary Art Museum. An artist reception will take place Saturday, May 21, from 5 to 8 p.m.  The Riverside Galleries are at 23 Garrison's Landing. They are open Tuesday through Sunday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Golf Tournament Raises Funds For Yorktown Heights Support Connection YORKTOWN, N.Y. -- Club Fit will host the 11th Annual Support Connection Golf Outing at the Garrison Golf Club on Wednesday, June 15.  Proceeds will benefit Support Connection, a Yorktown Heights-based nonprofit that provides support services to women with breast and ovarian cancer and their families.
