FDR Library In Hyde Park Displays USS Arizona Fragment HYDE PARK, N.Y. -- The Franklin D. Roosevelt Presidential Library and Museum will commemorate the upcoming 75th anniversary of the attack on Pearl Harbor with a new temporary exhibit.  The museum will highlight several of the pieces that will be on display in the exhibit over the next few weeks, such as a metal fragment from the USS Arizona, which was sunk during the Japanese attack on Dec. 7, 1941.  The U.S. Navy presented the library with the fragment this year.  “Day of Infamy: 24 Hours that Changed History" opens Thursday, June 30.

Community Cleans Up Fort Hill Road GREENBURGH, N.Y. -- The Southern Greenville Civic Association recently hosted a clean-up event at Fort Hill Road. Members of the community walked along the road to pick up debris along the road. They collected multiple bags of litter.  Some of the participating children signed a petition urging Greenburgh to post signs warning against littering on Fort Hill Road.  Greenburgh Police Explorers offered assistance directing traffic during the event.  The Juniper Hill Civic Association also conducted a cleanup earlier this year.

Mount Kisco Hosting Memorial Day Parade MOUNT KISCO, N.Y. -- Mount Kisco's American Post 136 will hold its annual Memorial Day parade on Monday, May 30.  The parade will begin at Oakwood Cemetery at 10 a.m. and travel down Smith St. to Route 117. It will end at the War Memorial adjacent to the Village Hall and Library.  A service will be held the War Memorial. The Legion will host refreshments after the service.

Goodguys Car Show Returns To Rhinebeck RHINEBECK, N.Y. -- The Goodguys 24th East Coast Nationals Car Show will take place at the Dutchess County Fairgrounds in Rhinebeck from Friday to Sunday, June 10-12.  The show will feature more than 1,500 hot rods, custom cars, trucks, classics and muscle cars, as well as vendor exhibits, an automotive swap meet, live music by The Clusters, and a Cars 4 Sale Corral. General admission at the door is $17 and $6 for kids ages 7-12. Children 6 and under are admitted for free. Danbury Woman Faces Drug, Child Endangerment Charges DANBURY — A Danbury woman was charged with possession and sale of narcotics and risk of injury to a minor on Wednesday, May 18, according to the News-Times.  Police told the News-Times that they saw Ashly Vanhorn-Vindilino, 33, engage in a hand-to-hand drug transaction with a 7-year-old child in the back seat of her Jeep Liberty. Vanhorn-Vindilino is accused of selling eight oxycodone and acetaminophen pills to Danbury's Raul Antonio Cruz, 33, reported the News-Times.  Cruz was charged with possession of narcotics and risk of injury to a minor, the News-Times said.
