New Visions Health Alumna Speaks To Students YORKTOWN, N.Y. -- New Visions Health alumna Christina Zupan visited NVH students to speak about pharmacology this week. “We were thrilled to have her come to talk to our students!” said NVH teachers Veronica Farlow and Susie Collins. Zupan is currently a student at Albany School of Pharmacy. She will graduate in 2017 with a doctorate in pharmacology.

Elmsford School District Honors Teachers Of The Year ELMSFORD, N.Y. -- The Elmsford Union Free School District will formally honor their 2016 Teacher of the Year recipients at the upcoming Board of Education meeting on Wednesday, June 1. Fabiola Diaz of Carl L. Dixon Elementary, Pat Byrne of Grady Elementary and Rich MacLeish of Alexander Hamilton High School are this year's program award recipients. The meeting will take place in the Alexander Hamilton High School auditorium at 7 p.m.

East Fishkill Police Issue IRS Scam Warning EAST FISHKILL, N.Y. -- The East Fishkill Police Department has received numerous calls from residents about scammers claiming to be from the IRS. The scammers call victims in an attempt to intimidate them into giving them money with threats of arrests, a revoked license or deportation. Some scammers will give the victim an actual IRS address to send a payment receipt or will use email containing a fake IRS document with a phone number or an email address. Maintenance Forces Lane Closures On Hutchinson River Parkway WESTCHESTER COUNTY, N.Y. -- The Hutchinson River Parkway will experience lane closures for maintenance activities next week. A right lane southbound closure is expected to occur southbound between Exit 18 and 17 from 10 a.m. on Tuesday, May 31 to 2 p.m. on Wednesday, June 1. The northbound right lane will be closed between Exit 7 and 22 from Thursday, June 2 at 10 a.m. through 2 p.m. on Friday, June 3. Yonkers To Receive $10 Million From Property Sale YONKERS, N.Y. -- Westchester's Industrial Development Agency unanimously approved the sale of Austin Avenue property in Yonkers to Morris Builders, LP on Thursday.
