Louise F. Fragano, 92, Carlstadt Resident
CARLSTADT, N.J. -- Louise F. (Olsen) Fragano, of Carlstadt, died on Sunday, Oct. 9. She was 92.
Born in 1924, Fragano was a bank clerk for Hudson United Bank in Union City for 25 years, before she retired in 1989.
She is survived by her children, Carol Parsons and her husband Gene, and Joseph Fragano and his wife Mary-Grace; grandson Keith Parsons and his wife Heather; great-grandchildren Evan, Caidyn and Jillian Parsons; and sisters Marion Hurst and Barbara Jaconski.

Mount Kisco Lions Club Gourmet Brunch Benefits Guiding Eyes For The Blind
MOUNT KISCO, N.Y. -- The Mount Kisco Lions Club's 32nd Annual Gourmet Brunch -- to raise money for Guiding Eyes for the Blind and other local charities -- is coming soon, on Sunday, Oct. 16.
"Enjoy the best fare from the area's finest restaurants, bakeries, gourmet shops, delis, sweet shops and more, all served in a smorgasbord you will not believe," organizers note. About 30 local eateries donate the food that will be served.
The event will also include door prizes, raffles, a 50/50, a silent auction and more. Organizers estimated that between 350-400 people attended last year.…
Bergen County’s Division On Disability Services Receives $10,000 Grant
HACKENSACK, N.J. -- Bergen County Executive Jim Tedesco has announced that the county's Division on Disability Services has been awarded a $10,000 grant from the Henry A. Kessler Foundation.
The grant will be used to increase programs and activities that are part of the division's four weekly Post Stroke and Disabled Adult support groups. These programs include group discussions, activities geared to promote personal fitness, arts and crafts, ceramics, trivia games, exercises, physical therapy, music and reminiscence sessions, guest speakers and periodic recreational outings.
