In a society that loves its nutritional supplements, cockroach "milk" may one day find its way onto the shelves, CNN recently reported.
Researchers published their work this month, noting that the substance -- present in Pacific beetle cockroaches, the only species that births live babies instead of eggs -- is very nutritious, with high levels of protein, fat and sugar, according to CNN.

Register Now For Glen Rock Arboretum's Kids Nature Journaling Workshops
GLEN ROCK, N.J.– The Thielke Arboretum is bringing back its nature journaling program for elementary-school kids, for the fourth year. Session 1 is for kids entering K-2. It will meet Monday and Tuesday, Aug. 29-30, from 9:30-11:30 a.m. The cost is $40 and includes materials. Session 2 is for rising third- through fifth-graders. It will be immediately following, on Wednesday through Friday, Aug. 31 to Sept. 2, from 9:30 a.m. to noon. It costs $60, including materials.

Oradell Hawks 14U Baseball Team Captures Summer Crown
ORADELL, N.J. -- The 14U Oradell Hawks became the summer champs on Thursday, beating Westwood to win the championship.The Hawks won 9-5, in the game played in Westwood.
"This team was resilient all season, and always found ways to win," said Rob Monaco, an Oradell Little League board member.
"They are a scrappy, hardworking, disciplined group of boys, and have been playing together for several seasons."
