Norwalk Player Aims To Help Team Win NCAA Lacrosse Title FAIRFIELD COUNTY, Conn. – Players from Westchester County and Fairfield County will be playing in the semifinals of the men’s lacrosse tournament this weekend. Players from Chappaqua, Pleasantville and South Salem in New York and New Canaan and Redding in Connecticut will be on the Tufts sideline when it meets Salisbury in the Division III championship game on Sunday at 1 p.m. in Baltimore. Norwalk Swimmer Nick Wargo Will Compete For Georgia College FAIRFIELD,, Conn. -- Norwalk's Nick Wargo, a senior at Fairfield Prep, signed a letter of intent to continue his swimming career at the Savannah College of Art and Design in Georgia. Wargo leaves Fairfield Prep as one of the best freestylers in school history. He is a two time Class LL State champion in the 200 freestyle and three time All-State selection who, as one of the team’s tri-captains this past season, helped lead the Jesuits to their 10th consecutive Southern Connecticut Conference title. Greenwich Gymnast Wins Event At Eastern Championships GREENWICH, Conn. – Greenwich’s Ashlyn Wahl, competing for Arena Gymnastics of Stamford, won the Level 9 championship on the balance beam recently at the USA Gymnastics Eastern Championships in Bradenton, Fla. Arena teammates Emma Kirchner of Ridgefield and Pamela Onorato of Westport joined Wahl at the meet and came away with top five finishes. Wahl won the balance beam with a score 9.425.
