Money Magazine Ranks Fairfield As 44th Best Place To Live In U.S. FAIRFIELD, Conn. -- Residents of one Gold Coast town have a new reason to brag: MONEY Magazine has chosen Fairfield as the 44th Best Place to Live in America in its 2014 edition of the popular list. West Hartford, which ranked 45th, was the only other Connecticut community to earn a spot on this prestigious list. The magazine chose the 50 best municipalities throughout the nation with populations of 50,000 to 300,000 using 50 factors, including local economy, housing market and schools. Wilton Wahoos Swim To Rewarding Summer Season WILTON, Conn. -- The Wilton Wahoos swim team ended its summer season with one member of the USA National Junior Team, 21 individual state records and seven USA Swimming Scholastic All-Americans. The Wahoos sent 21 members to college programs, and had 13 Connecticut Swimming Scholar athletes. Ian Rainey of Westport, now a freshman at the University of Michigan, concluded his Wahoo age group swimming career by being selected as a member of the National Junior Team. 'Splatter Run' Coming To Norwalk's Calf Pasture Beach NORWALK, Conn. -- A Splatter Run, a race in which participants will get covered with brightly colored powder, will be run at Norwalk’s Calf Pasture Beach on Sunday, Oct. 5. The untimed 5k run supports Young Life, a nonprofit, non-denominational Christian outreach to adolescents in the schools of our community.
