Putnam County Real Estate Sends Mixed Messages In Third Quarter PUTNAM COUNTY, N.Y. -- Putnam County real estate sent mixed messages during the third quarter, with sales up but median prices down from the same period in 2013. Homes sold increased 4 percent in Putnam County during the third quarter, according to statistics from Houlihan Lawrence. However, the median sale price declined 5 percent. Running Store Celebrates Grand Opening In Ridgefield RIDGEFIELD, Conn. -- Community and business leaders joined the running community Thursday for the grand opening of the Ridgefield Running Company store. The store at 88 Danbury Road is owned by Deb Povinelli and Megan Searfoss, both of whom live in Ridgefield and are longtime and enthusiastic runners. Westchester Community College Offers Students Bright Futures In Technology Westchester Community College professor Richard Van Inwegen says students have a very direct way to get to the front of the line for a bright future in various technology fields. First, they have to have math and science skills (although they don’t have to be math whizzes or science geniuses). And second, they need to pick a specialty in a growing field.
