Stamford Church Hosts Halloween Fundraiser For Wilderness School STAMFORD, Conn. -- Union Memorial Church is hosting "Trunk or Treat" on Saturday, Oct. 25, from 4-6 p.m. All proceeds for this event will go towards a scholarship to the Wilderness School in memory of Kyle Cruz.  Cruz, 17, a city resident and student at Stamford High School, died on Oct. 30, 2013. A "Trunk or Treat" is a safe trick or treating event where people park in a lot and decorate their car or tailgate and hand out Halloween treats.
