Fairfield Women Run In New York City Marathon FAIRFIELD COUNTY, Conn. -- Ridgefield High School cross country coach Bryan Kovalsky finished second among Connecticut runners and 84th overall Sunday in the TCS New York City Marathon. Kovalsky ran 2:36:51 in difficult conditions for the 26.2-mile race as runners faced chilly temperatures and stiff, gusty winds. Joseph Darda of Willimantic was the top Connecticut finisher. Wilton Wahoos Swim In The Pink In First Home Meet Of Season WILTON, Conn. -- The Wilton Wahoos swim team hosted its first home meet of the new season last Saturday and Sunday. The swimmers wore pink caps in support Breast Cancer Awareness Month, which runs through October. The Wahoos will head to North Carolina for the Senior Nationals in December. The Wahoos, one of the top youth swimming programs in the nation, are coming off a banner year in which it had one swimmer make the U.S. National team, set 21 individual state records and eight relay state records.
