Ridgefield's Bordash Named Patriot League Rookie Of The Year RIDGEFIELD, Conn. -- Ridgefield’s Will Bordash, a freshman at Bucknell University, was named the Patriot League Rookie of the Year after Saturday’s conference championship meet at Bethlehem, Pa. Bordash was the top freshman in the league championship race. He finished 26th and covered the 8-kilometer course (almost five miles) in 24:57. Bordash was the fourth runner for Bucknell, which finished second by Navy in team scoring. Bucknell’s team finish was its best since 2001, when it also finished second. Fairfield Runners Help Virginia Cross County To 4th In ACC FAIRFIELD COUNTY, Conn. -- Runners from Fairfield and Westport helped the University of Virginia men’s cross country team to a fourth place finish at the Atlantic Coast Conference championships. Connor Rog, a sophomore from Fairfield and Fairfield Prep, was Virginia’s top runner in 14th place at 23:40 for the 8-kilometer course. Rog earned all-Conference honors. The open houses are Thursday, Nov., 6, and Tuesday, Nov. 12, from 6:30 to 8 p.m. at the Hanson Building. Ridgefield Runner Finishes 2nd Among State Finishers At NYC Marathon FAIRFIELD COUNTY, Conn. -- Ridgefield High School cross country coach Bryan Kovalsky finished second among Connecticut runners and 84th overall Sunday in the TCS New York City Marathon.
