He was born in Stamford, the son of Giuseppe (Joseph) and Maria Rosa Aulenti, on March 28, 1927 and was a lifelong Stamford resident. Aulenti was employed by the Stamford Board of Education, serving as head custodian at Stamford High School until his retirement in 1989. He served as president of the Custodians, Mechanics and Cafeteria Workers Union Local 1083 in Stamford. He also served as Assistant State Commissioner in A.F.C.M.E.'s Council Four. Aulenti enlisted in the Army, serving in Italy's Alpine region. …

Carmel High Hosts Putnam County Basketball Tourney CARMEL, N.Y. -- Host Carmel High School plays Brewster on Saturday in the final game of the Putnam County Boys Basketball Challenge. The tournament is hosted by the Putnam County Basketball Officials. The tournament tips off at noon with Pawling vs. Webutuck.
