Smith is a redshirt sophomore at Fairfield University, and Casimir is a freshman at Iona College in New York. Sex Offenders Live Near Pre-K Programs, Report Says PUTNAM COUNTY, N.Y. -- Sex offenders live near pre-kindergarten schools in Mount Vernon, Yonkers, New Rochelle and White Plains, according to a report by The New York State Coalition. A story from Gannett's Albany bureau said six sex offenders were found to be living in pre-kindergarten near Mount Vernon, three in Yonkers, two in New Rochelle and one in White Plains. The New York Senate passed a package of bills last week that strengthen laws against sex offenders.
