Rowers From Westport, Fairfield Named To National U23 Team WESTPORT, Conn. -- Rowers from Westport and Fairfield were named to the United States Under-23 team that will represent the country in the World Rowing Under 23 Championships July 22-26, in Plovdiv, Bulgaria. Elizabeth Youngling and Max Meyer-Bosse, both of whom competed for Saugatuck Rowing Club, were among the rowers selected to the team, which will compete in 20 events. Youngling, a recent graduate of Virginia, also rowed for the U.S. on last year's U23 team. She will row for the Women's 4 and Women's 8. NFL Player From Stamford Hosts Free Clinic Sunday At Westhill STAMFORD, Conn. -- NFL player Khairi Fortt and his Foundation will team with Stamford Youth Foundation on Sunday to host a free clinic at Westhill High School. Jets, Steelers Players Host Free Clinic Sunday In Norwalk NORWALK, Conn. -- Two players from the National Football League will host a free clinic at Norwalk High School on Sunday, July 12. The clinic is run in conjunction with Norwalk Junior Football. Westport Softball Team Begins Division Championship Play WESTPORT, Conn. -- Westport Little League's 12-and-under softball team will play North Branford on Wednesday night in the first round of the Division championship tournament.
