James C. Schlichtman, 95, Ossining Resident And WWII Veteran OSSINING, N.Y. -- James C. Schlichtman a longtime resident of Ossining, died on July 1. He was 95. He was born on Sept. 28, 1919 and was the son of the late James and Ann (Brennen) Schlichtman.   Schlichtman served in the U.S. Army during World War  II with the 87th Infantry Div. and fought in the Battle of the Bulge.  He was a member of the American Legion Parker Bale Post, where he served for many years as the Chaplain.  He was also a longtime communicant of St. Augustine’s Church.
