Wilton U9 Girls Finish Undefeated At Farmington Soccer Tournament WILTON, Conn. -- The Wilton Girls U9 Blue team went undefeated at the 31st Annual Adidas Bernie Ward Labor Day Shootout in Farmington,. The popular 2-day tournament is ranked the No. 1 soccer tournament in Connecticut by Adidas, attracting premier and competitive travel teams from several states. The girls defeated Farmington (6-0), West Hartford (3-2), Shelton White (6-0) and Shelton Orange (6-1). Fairfield Prep Names Football Captains For New Season FAIRFIELD, Conn. -- Fairfield Prep named its football captains for the new season. The captains for the Jesuits are Sam Opont, Aidan Coyle, Nick Franchuk, and Connor Bercik. Prep has a new coach in Keith Hellstern, who stepped in for Tom Shea. Hellstern had been the defensive coordinator under Shea, who stayed on as an assistant coach. Prep finished 7-4 last year. The Jesuits open the season on Sept. 11 at Notre Dame of West Haven.

Northern Highlands Kicks Off Football Season Vs. Teaneck ALLENDALE, N.J. -- Northern Highlands Regional High School's football team meets Big North Conference rival Teaneck High School in Allendale on Saturday, Sept. 12. Kick off is at 2:30 p.m. Northern Highlands played its season opener on Sept. 3 against Sparta of Sussex County. Teaneck played its opening game at Ridgefield Park. Passaic County Tech Football Team Aims For Another Big Year PASSAIC COUNTY, N.J. -- Passaic County Tech’s football team has several key players to replace as it looks to play for another championship in the New Jersey State Athletic Association playoffs. Body Of Drowned College Student From Redding Found In South Africa REDDING, Conn. -- The body of a 19-year-old Redding man who drowned while swimming in waters off of South Africa was found on Friday, according to a report to SABC News.
