Joe Lombardi, Daily Voice's Managing Editor, has spent his professional career as a newsroom director, manager, editor, producer, writer, reporter and broadcaster who has worked at major websites, television networks, newspapers, magazines and radio stations and as a book author.

The Manhattan native, Irvington (NY) High School and University of Dayton graduate has been actively involved in web publishing for more than 25 years. In addition, he also has expertise in marketing, public relations and social media.

Lombardi rejoined Daily Voice in September 2013 as managing editor after serving as sports editorial consultant from August 2011 through January 2012. He was named to oversee editorial operations in the fall of 2017.

It happened around 3:35 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 26 in Islip. A 2020 Honda Accord was being driven southbound on Route 111 when it veered into the northbound land and struck a northbound oil tanker truck at the intersection of Ironwood Street, Suffolk County Police said. Two Killed In Head-On Worcester County Crash Police are investigating a head-on crash that killed two people in the region. It happened at approximately 7:45 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 23 in Worcester County. Massachusetts State Police troopers assigned to State Police-Athol responded to Route 2 in Athol. Girl Injured In Pellet Gun Shooting At Suffolk County Shopping Center Police are investigating a pellet gun shooting that injured a child at a Long Island shopping plaza. The incident happened around 5:20 p.m. on Presidents' Day, Monday, Feb. 21 in Deer Park. 24-Year-Old Arrested After Trying To Access Tiger Enclosure At Zoo In New England, Police Say A man has been arrested after police say he tried to access the tiger enclosure at a zoo in the region. At approximately 9 a.m. Monday, Feb. 21, Massachusetts State Police troopers responded to the Franklin Park Zoo in Boston, where security staff had detained the man who they say broke into the zoo and was attempting to gain access to the enclosure. Alert Issued For Missing 14-Year-Old Hudson Valley Boy A 14-year-old Hudson Valley boy has gone missing and authorities are asking the public's help in locating him. Orange County resident Justin Guerrero is 5-foot-6, 150 pounds, with black hair and brown eyes and may be in need of medical attention, authorities say. Suspect Nabbed After Man's Leg Severed In Hit-Run Nassau County Crash, Police Say A driver has been accused of leaving the scene of a crash that left a man critically injured on Long Island. The crash happened around 8:45 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 20 in Elmont. A 65-year-old man, while attempting to cross Linden Boulevard at 237th Street, was struck by a 2015 Hino flatbed tow truck traveling eastbound that fled the scene, Nassau County Police said. The man suffered a serious injury to his left leg which was severed below his knee, police said.
