Joe Lombardi, Daily Voice's Managing Editor, has spent his professional career as a newsroom director, manager, editor, producer, writer, reporter and broadcaster who has worked at major websites, television networks, newspapers, magazines and radio stations and as a book author.

The Manhattan native, Irvington (NY) High School and University of Dayton graduate has been actively involved in web publishing for more than 25 years. In addition, he also has expertise in marketing, public relations and social media.

Lombardi rejoined Daily Voice in September 2013 as managing editor after serving as sports editorial consultant from August 2011 through January 2012. He was named to oversee editorial operations in the fall of 2017.

2 Hospitalized After Car Crashes Into Tree In Hudson Valley Two people were hospitalized after a single-vehicle crash in a residential Hudson Valley neighborhood. It happened in Rockland County at about 12:45 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 18 in the hamlet of Blauvelt. A tan, four-door 2003 Acura RL was traveling north on Moison Road North when the vehicle left the roadway and struck a tree on the west side of the road, Orangetown Police said. Large Power Outage Reported In Part Of Hudson Valley Thousands are without power in part of the Hudson Valley after a large outage late Saturday afternoon, Feb. 18. According to Central Hudson, just before 5 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 18, eight outages are affecting 2,536 customers, including 2,507 in Orange County, mainly in the New Windsor area. Popular Syosset Eatery Closes After 51 Years In Business A popular Long Island eatery known for its foot-long sandwiches has permanently closed after more than a half-century in business. Syosset staple Village Heros' last day of business was Friday, Feb. 17. The restaurant, located at 80 Jericho Turnpike, said the circumstances leading to its closure were out of its control. ID Released For Woman Found Outside South Hempstead Store In Death Ruled As Homicide The identity has been released of a woman who was found dead outside of a Long Island store in a case police are now calling a homicide. Officers responded to a call for a female lying on the ground next to a dumpster in the rear of Advanced Auto Parts in South Hempstead, located at 1140 Grand Ave., on Tuesday, Feb. 14 at 7:40 a.m. The woman was pronounced dead at the scene. New Listeria Outbreak With Unknown Food Source Under Investigation In NY A new multi-state outbreak of infections from Listeria is under investigation by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC). "A specific food item has not yet been identified as the source of this outbreak," the CDC said in a statement released on Wednesday, Feb. 15.
