The first incident happened in Albany County just before midnight Saturday, Nov. 11, in Colonie on Central Avenue. A man walked into the roadway near Fuller Road and was struck by a Ford F-150 truck that was driving westbound, according to Colonie Police. Data from the first comprehensive overview of crime trends across the state showed a six-percent drop in violent crime outside of New York City during the first half of 2023 compared to the first six months of 2022, Gov. Man Dies After Being Struck By 2 Cars On Capital Region Highway Police are investigating after a man was struck and killed on a busy highway in the region. The crash happened at around 7:15 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 8, on I-787 in Albany. A preliminary investigation found that a Ford sedan was attempting to merge into traffic on I-787 at Exit 2 when they unknowingly struck a pedestrian, according to New York State Police. The victim, a 67-year-old man, was then run over by a second vehicle and died at the scene, troopers said. Authorities did not release the man’s name or hometown.
