A former employee at a care facility on Long Island is accused of using excessive force on a disabled resident. Jamal Walker, age 41, of Coram, was arrested Thursday, Nov. 10, according to Riverhead Town Police. Officers were called to Little Flower Children and Family Services in Wading River on Sunday, June 25, about an employee allegedly mistreating a resident. Armed Robber Carjacks Victim In Capital Region Neighborhood, Police Say Police are investigating an armed carjacking that occurred in a residential neighborhood in the region. The Schenectady County incident happened at around 11 a.m. Friday, Nov. 10, in the village of Scotia on Bruce Street. The victim told police the suspect came up behind him and threatened him with a gun. The suspect then forcibly stole his car before fleeing toward North Ballston Avenue. Seen Him? Alert Issued For Capital Region Man Missing For Nearly Week Police are asking for help in locating a man from the region who has been missing for nearly a week. Rensselaer County resident Richard Ody, of Rensselaer, was last seen Wednesday, Nov. 8, according to police. His age was not provided. A missing person report was filed with the Rensselaer Police Department on Monday, Nov. 13. Ody may be in need of medical attention, according to police. The Columbia County wreck happened at around 5:45 p.m. Monday, Nov. 13, in the town of Greenport on State Route 23. Troopers and firefighters from the Greenport Fire Department responded to the intersection of Ponderosa Drive where they found two vehicles fully engulfed in flames, according to New York State Police. Charles Carter, age 34, of Amityville, appeared in US District Court in Central Islip on Monday, Nov. 13, where he pleaded guilty to conspiring to distribute over 40 grams of fentanyl. The incident happened at around 3 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 11, in Albany’s West Hill neighborhood, on Judson Street near First Street. The Saratoga County incident happened Saturday, Nov. 11, in the town of Halfmoon, at the Mi Mexico Lindo y Taqueria located on Route 9.
