Deadly Hit-Run: Drunk, High 24-Year-Old Admits To Long Island Crash That Killed Woman A 24-year-old man is facing years in prison for hitting and killing a Long Island woman while driving drunk and high on marijuana. Wade Gagliano, of Ronkonkoma, pleaded guilty to vehicular manslaughter in Suffolk County Court on Thursday, Nov. 30, in the death of Adrienne Wagner. According to prosecutors, Gagliano was driving an SUV westbound on Johnson Avenue near Ocean Avenue in Ronkonkoma when he struck Wagner at around 1:30 a.m. on Aug. 14, 2022, as she crossed the street. Armed Robber Steals $20K From Long Island Business Police are working to track down an armed robber who stole thousands of dollars from a Long Island business. The incident happened at around 6:15 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 29, in Riverhead, at the Latinos Multiservices on East Main Street. College Of Saint Rose Shutting Down After 103 Years After more than a century in operations, Albany’s College of Saint Rose is permanently closing amid mounting financial struggles. The school’s board of trustees voted Thursday, Nov. 30, to shut down the college at the end of the Spring 2024 semester. “It is with a heavy heart that the Board decided to close the college at the end of this academic year,” Board Chair Jeffrey Stone said. Man Found Dead In Wooded Area Near Long Island Park Police are investigating after a man was found dead near a Long Island park. Someone called 911 at around 7 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 30, reporting an unconscious man in a wooded area in Riverhead, near Weeping Willow Park on Main Street. When officers and medics arrived, they determined that the man was dead, according to Riverhead Town Police. Authorities identified him as 44-year-old Cuah Temoc Trinidad, of Riverhead. Man Stabs 33-Year-Old Near Shuttered Church In Capital Region, Runs From Cops, Police Say A 49-year-old man is facing charges after allegedly stabbing another man multiple times near a shuttered church in the region. Emergency crews in Albany were called at around 9:45 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 28, for a stabbing near Central Avenue and Robin Street.
