Woman Found Dead At Capital Region Park Police are investigating after a woman was found dead at a park in the region. The discovery was made at around 7:15 a.m. Monday, Feb. 5, at Albany’s Six Mile Waterworks Park, located near the Northway and I-90. An Albany Police spokesperson told Daily Voice the woman’s death is not believed to be suspicious in nature. Her identity had not been released as of Monday afternoon. The incident is under investigation and an official cause of death will be determined by the Albany County Coroner’s Office. Check back to Daily Voice for updates.

Alert Issued For Long Island 15-Year-Old Missing Nearly 2 Weeks Police are asking for help locating a 15-year-old Long Island girl who has been missing for nearly two weeks. Laniya Gaymon, of Central Islip, didn’t show up at her Coventry Lane residence after school on Tuesday, Jan. 23, according to Suffolk County Police. Relatives reported her missing that evening. Gaymon is 5-foot-8 and 220 pounds, with black hair and brown eyes. She was last seen wearing a gray sweater, black T-shirt, and light-colored sweatpants. She has a nose ring. Masked Assailants Rob 17-Year-Old Of Phone, Sneakers On Long Island Residential Street Police are asking for tips after a 17-year-old boy was robbed while walking through a Long Island neighborhood. The incident happened at around 2:30 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 31, in Riverhead. Police said the teen was walking on Parkway Street when four males wearing masks forcibly stole his iPhone and Jordan sneakers. The suspects then fled on foot. Albany County resident Walter Lipka, of Cohoes, died Tuesday, Jan. 30 at the age of 86 at Health Alliance Hospital in Kingston.
