Fairfield American Rolls To State Little League Championship FAIRFIELD, Conn. -- Fairfield American won its fifth Little League state championship in seven years on Saturday with a 6-3 victory over Coginchaug.Fairfield moves on to the New England Regional Tournament Sunday in Bristol. Westport's 10-and-Under Girls Join Lineup At Regional Little League Tourney WESTPORT, Conn. -- Westport captured its second softball state title of the summer on Saturday when the 10-and-under team beat Seymour, 4-0, in a game played at Unity Park in Trumbull.Westport also won the state 11-and-under championship. Baseball Diamonds Are Forever For Norwalk Couple NORWALK, Conn. -- Jenn Balliett raced to the season’s first Little League practice three years ago at Broad River Field in Norwalk with her son, Landon, and was a limping, hot, sweaty mess.
