Trumbull Student Selected For U.S. Senate Youth Program TRUMBULLL, Conn. -- A Trumbull High School student has been selected as a delegate to the 55th annual United States Senate Youth Program (USSYP). Isha Dalal of Trumbull is one of two students selected from Connecticut for the program. Dalal will be joined by Emily Sullivan, a student at Simsbury High School. Greenwich Preservation Network Dedicates Historic District Marker GREENWICH, Conn. -- -The Greenwich Preservation Network dedicated a new historic marker for the River Road-Mead Avenue Historic District in Cos Cob. Located off East Putnam Avenue, the district was placed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2014. The permanent marker, located near the Water Club on River Road, outlines the history of the area for all passers-by. Redding Woman Sentenced To 3 Months For Stealing $400K From Employer REDDING, Conn. -- A Redding woman was sentenced to three months in jail Thursday for embezzling more than $400,000 from her employer. Lisa Landman, 48, of Umpawug Road pleaded guilty in September to wire fraud. Landman, a bookkeeper for an unidentified Connecticut company, defrauded her employer by authorizing and initiating at least 33 wire transfers from the company’s business bank account into her own personal credit card account.
