Millbrook High School Students Raise Funds For Food Bank
MILLBROOK, N.Y. -- National Honor Society members at Millbrook High School recently raised $400 for the Food Bank of the Hudson Valley. The money raised will help feed local families. Teachers, community members and fellow students sponsored the National Honor Society members for the fundraiser.

CLARKSTOWN, N.Y. -- The Clarkstown Police Department posted a scanned photo of a letter from the 1960s to social media for Throwback Thursday with the hashtags #TBT and #readyclarkstown. Pearl River Man Charged With Felony Assault On Rockland County Officer
CLARKSTOWN, N.Y. -- A Pearl River man was arrested and charged with assault on an officer, according to the Rockland County Sheriff's Office. Raymond Dennison Jr., 32, was arrested on a warrant for assault on an officer and faces new charges that include assault on an officer in the second degree, resisting arrest, criminal possession of a controlled substance and obstructing governmental administration on June 6. The warrant charge stems from 2015 when Dennison was arrested on a family court warrant and allegedly assaulted a sheriff's officer during the arrest. Dennison was out on bail …

Man Charged After Flooding Taconic Parkway With 5K Gallons Of Water
YORKTOWN HEIGHTS, N.Y. -- A Yorktown Heights man was arrested and charged for allegedly flooding the Taconic State Parkway. According to Yorktown Police, Robert Schulhafter, 54, a pool service worker, drained a swimming pool at 2192 Mohansic Ave. in the direction of the parkway, resulting in the accumulation of around 5,000 gallons of water in the southbound travel lanes during morning rush hour. Thiells Mount Ivy Road Will Be Resurfaced Friday
MOUNT IVY, N.Y. -- The Rockland County Highway Department will resurface Thiells Mount Ivy Road on Friday, June 10. The road will be resurfaced from the Palisades Interstate Parkway to Buckingham Court, weather permitting. Residents will experience temporary closures and detours due to the resurface work beginning at 7 a.m. Flagmen will assist the traveling public during the work.

Fox Meadow Students Learn About Safe Driving
YORKTOWN, N.Y. -- Fox Meadow High School students recently learned about safe driving with two special tests during Prevention Day. Students donned "drunk vision" goggles and attempted to walk in a straight line with one foot in front of the other. Each student failed. Next, the students played a video game-like driving simulator to take a virtual drive home.
