Two California Men Get Prison Time For Defrauding Homeowners Of Over $3M BRIDGEPORT, Conn. -- Two men have been sentenced to prison for their roles in an elaborate scheme that defrauded struggling homeowners in Connecticut and across the United States.U.S. Attorney for the District of Connecticut Deirdre Daly announced the news Thursday, after U.S. District Judge Stefan Underhill sentenced the California men in Bridgeport federal court. Shippan Racquet Club Team Heading To Usta Nationals STAMFORD, Conn. -- Stamford's Shippan Racquet Club has capped off a successful tennis season with one of its women's teams qualifying for the USTA Nationals. The Stingers 4.0 Women's Team will hit the courts in Rancho Mirage, Calif., from Sept. 23-25. GoFundMe Set Up For Stratford Woman Injured In Hit-And-Run STRATFORD, Conn. -- A Stratford woman remains in intensive care after a hit-and-run accident -- and her boss has set up a GoFundMe campaign, to try to help with her medical costs. Amanda Keane was struck by a passing car on Sunday, August 28, as she was getting into her own car, as she left work, at Milford Bridge House. Wayne 'Paws In The Park' Features Passaic County K-9 Unit, Pet Portraits WAYNE, N.J. -- An October event featuring pet portraits in Goffle Brook Park will aid the Passaic County Sheriff's Office. Pet portraitist Gina Stritch of Wayne — who recently held a one-woman art show at the historic Van Riper-Hopper House Museum — will be in the park showing off her art skills.
