Cecelia 'Ceil' Murphy, 87, Longtime Fair Lawn Resident, School Aide FAIR LAWN, N.J. -- Cecelia "Ceil" Agnes Murphy, of Fair Lawn, died on Wednesday, Sept. 28. She was 88. Born in the Bronx, Murphy lived in Fair Lawn for nearly 60 years. She was a clerk aide at Westmoreland Elementary School in Fair Lawn for 39 years, and when she retired -- at 81 -- the school's playground was named in her honor. "She loved her family and her job at Westmoreland and was an avid Yankee fan," information at the funeral home noted. Besides former students, current and former faculty and staff are also invited. The rain-or-shine event will begin with 11:30 opening remarks in the auditorium and close with the 3 p.m. football game against Millburn.
