Kyle S. Charter, 45, Lifelong Poughkeepsie Resident
POUGHKEEPSIE, N.Y. -- Kyle S. Charter, of Poughkeepsie, died on Tuesday, Dec. 6. He was 45. Born in Poughkeepsie, Charter was a lifelong area resident. "He had a love for sports and loved baseball and the Yankees," information from the funeral home noted.
He is survived by his father and stepmother, Kenneth and Susan Charter; mother and stepfather, Helen and Clarence Shanley; son Kyle Charter; sister Kim Simmons; and brothers Greg and Roy Charter.
Charter was predeceased by two brothers, Kenneth Charter and Todd Switzer.

Suspended Chief Deleted Phone Records, According To New Charges
CLARKSTOWN, N.Y. -- The charges against suspended Clarkstown Police Chief Michael Sullivan are mounting, and new charges relate to him allegedly deleting information from his work cell phone, in spite of pending investigations, according to lohud.com.
The new charges accuse Sullivan of misconduct and incompetence, including not preventing one of the officers being investigated from also deleting data from his work cell phone, as well as his computer, the report said.

Ann J. Christiansen, 84, Rhinebeck Resident
RHINEBECK, N.Y. -- Ann J. Christiansen, of Rhinebeck, died on Saturday, Dec. 3. She was 84. Born in Brooklyn, Christiansen was the daughter of the late Jacob and Alice (Tjostolvsen) Christiansen. She worked for IBM in Kingston as an administrator, from 1955 until her retirement in 1986.
She is survived by her relatives in Norway. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her sister, Ethel.

Edith M. Peene, 100, Longtime Saddle Brook Resident
SADDLE BROOK, N.J. -- Edith M. Peene, of Saddle Brook, died on Tuesday, Dec. 6. She was 100. Peene was born in Caldwell and raised in Nutley, prior to settling in Saddle Brook 75 years ago. Before she retiring in 1983, she was an executive secretary with ITT Federal Electric, in Paramus, for 20 years.
A parishioner of Saddle Brook's St. Philip the Apostle Roman Catholic Church, Peene was a member of its Rosary Society. She was also a member of the Bridge Club and Senior Fellowship, both of Ridgewood.

HACKENSACK, N.J. -- Lena Iurato, of Hackensack, died on Monday, Dec. 5. She was 101.Born in Hackensack, Iurato lived all of her life in the city. She worked as a seamstress, first for Goldberg Slipper Company in Hackensack and then for Form Flex in Saddle Brook, before retiring.

An avid bingo player, she also enjoyed taking trips to Atlantic City. She loved spending time with family, especially her grandchildren.
