Many of the crafts involve paint, glue and other messy materials -- so dress accordingly. The session will be in the Children's Program Room. Youth Can Cast Lines In Suffern, With Mahwah Elks Fishing Derby SUFFERN, N.Y. -- Get your poles ready, because the 12th annual Village of Suffern/Mahwah Elks Fishing Derby, for kids, is coming this Saturday, June 11. This free event will be held at Foxwood Pond on Saturday, June 11. Registration will be that morning, beginning at 9 a.m. Fishing will be from 9:30-11, and all are invited to the free BBQ afterward, provided by the Mahwah Elks. Wyckoff Boy Scouts Organize Flag Retirement Ceremony WYCKOFF, N.J. -- Wyckoff's Boy Scout Troop 77 will be celebrating its 11th anniversary by respectfully retiring flags, on Thursday, June 16. This retirement ceremony is an extension of an Eagle Scout project sponsored by Boy Scout Troop 77. The scouts have respectfully disassembled torn and tattered flags collected from a flag drop located at Vander Plaat Funeral Home. "Please come and join us at this event," organizers note. New Milford Grade Schoolers Learn ABCs Of Medical Emergencies NEW MILFORD, N.J. -- Recently, members of the Heart and Vascular Hospital team at Hackensack University Medical Center visited the Hovnanian School, in New Milford, to teach students about dealing with emergency situations. Students from fifth- through eighth grade learned about dialing 911, recognizing signs of a heart attack and learning what to do in an emergency situation.
