Certified martial arts instructor Dave Howell -- who's taught kids for over 14 years -- is leading the classes. Taekwondo is one of only two martial arts in the Olympics. North Arlington Soccer Players Compete In Seaside Tournament NORTH ARLINGTON, N.J. -- More than 40 players from North Arlington participated in the Seaside Heights Sand Soccer Storm Tournament this past weekend, accompanied by over a dozen coaches, and many friends and family members. Suspect Arrested In Fairfield Bank Robbery Used Cash For His Wedding FAIRFIELD, Conn. -- The Fairfield Police Department says it has arrested a 24-year-old Bridgeport man for the May 20 robbery of Fairfield's Webster Bank. In an interesting twist, authorities say he used the money to pay for his wedding -- which was later that day. Christopher Allen Hankins was arrested for second-degree robbery and third-degree larceny on Wednesday, June 22. He was held on $25,000 bond, the police department noted. Karl Schaefer, 85, Former South Hackensack Resident SOUTH HACKENSACK, N.J. -- Karl Schaefer -- a Cookstown resident, formerly of South Hackensack -- died on Wednesday, June 22. He was 85.Born in Passaic, Schaefer lived in Pequannock, South Hackensack and Preston, New York, before moving to Cookstown 20 years ago. He was a superintendent of maintenance at the Chancery Office in the Archdiocese of Newark for 30 years before he retired. He had served in the Marines during the Korean Conflict and was a member of the VFW in South Hackensack.
