Join With Scarsdale Medical Group In School Supply Drive
HARRISON, N.Y. -- Scarsdale Medical Group, a multi-specialty practice serving Westchester and Fairfield counties and the surrounding Hudson Valley area, has teamed up with Children's Hope Chest, a local nonprofit, to support "Backpacks for Hope."The school supply drive will provides new supplies and backpacks for low-income or needy children. The campaign is collecting new backpacks for kids, as well as new basic supplies including notebooks, folders, pencils, crayons, highlighters, glue sticks and markers.

Tarrytown Realtor Cuts Ribbon At Hgar Headquarters In White Plains
TARRYTOWN, N.Y. -- Marcene Hedayati, part owner and manager of Tarrytown's William Raveis Legends Realty Group, recently cut the ribbon celebrating the new headquarters of the Hudson Valley Gateway of Realtors, at One Maple Ave., in White Plains.Hedayati is also the president for HGAR. On hand for the ribbon-cutting was U.S. Rep. Nita Lowey, along with White Plains Mayor Thomas Roach.

WESTWOOD, N.J. -- Pastor Richard J. Vander Borgh -- a Westwood resident, formerly of Dumont -- died on Saturday, July 16. He was 74.Vander Borgh graduated from Hope College in Holland, Michigan, then received a master's in theology from Oberlin Graduate School of Theology, in Oberlin, Ohio. He then spent a year at the New Brunswick Theological Seminary, in New Brunswick.
He began his pastoral career at the Linlithgo Reformed Church, in Livingston, New York, where he was pastor from 1967-1973. Vander Borgh was then pastor of the Mohawk Reformed Church, in Mohawk, New York, from 1973-1983. He…
Anita M. Benarick, 71, Lifelong North Arlington Resident
NORTH ARLINGTON, N.J. -- Anita M. (McCormick) Benarick, a lifelong resident of North Arlington, died on Monday, July 18. She was 71. Benarick worked as a nurse for 40 years, before retiring from West Hudson Hospital in Kearny 10 years ago. She loved to help people and was a huge animal lover.
She is survived by her children, Gregory Benarick and his wife Monica, and Jeffrey Benarick and his wife Heather; and grandchildren Gregory Jr., Ashley, Courtney, Brayden and Brooke.
Benarick was predeceased by her former husband, Thomas Benarick.
