Andrew 'Andy' J. Ragone, 69, Mahwah Resident
MAHWAH, N.J. -- Andrew 'Andy' J. Ragone, of Mahwah, died on Saturday, July 16. He was 69.
Ragone graduated Most Holy Trinity High School in Brooklyn and attended college in New Mexico and New York City. He was a financial consultant for Dean Witter and Shearson Lehman Brothers, later opening a business Treats N Treasures in Mahwah. In his final years before retirement, he worked as a corporate sales representative for T-Mobile and earned many Presidential Awards.

Six Westchester Locales Rank In Top 10 Of State's Most Successful
WESTCHESTER COUNTY, N.Y. -- The career resource website Zippia recently analyzed all municipalities in New York with more than 5,000 residents, and came up with a list of the 10 most successful cities in the Empire State. And six of them are in Westchester County.
The site analyzed the locales' poverty level, median household income and unemployment rate to rank them.
The six in Westchester County include Pelham Manor, Irvington, Scarsdale, Rye, Briarcliff Manor and Pelham. The remaining four are Lawrence, North Hills, Garden City and Sea Cliff.

Free Science Programs For Girls Coming To Garfield Library
GARFIELD, N.J. -- The Girls Science Interactive program is bringing five days of free science programs for girls going into fourth through sixth grade, at the Garfield Public Library, on Monday-Friday, Aug. 22-26.
Each day's program is from 10 a.m. to noon, and kids are welcome to attend one or all of them. Each day there will be a different science program: students will be taught a specific topic and then conduct hands-on experiments.
