Wyckoff Sharks Finish 13th At YMCA Nationals WYCKOFF, N.J. -- The Wyckoff Family YMCA Sharks swim team recently returned from a successful trip to the YMCA National Swim Championships, held at the IUPUI natatorium in Indianapolis. The team -- which sent 31 swimmers to the meet -- trains year-round at the Wyckoff YMCA under Coach Ken Berk and Coach Francesco Peta. The athletes also train for six weeks during the summer at the Glen Rock pool, in preparation for the championship. Woman Assaults Husband With Car In Stony Point, Police Say STONY POINT, N.Y. -- The Stony Point Police Department arrested a 42-year-old Stony Point woman on Tuesday, Aug. 9, after an incident in which police say she ran into her husband with a car. Lillian Vargas allegedly struck her husband with a car in a domestic dispute, police say. She's been charged with assault, reckless endangerment and endangering the welfare of a child. She's due in court on Thursday, Sept. 1. At the scene, Vargas was treated by the EMS team that responded, and she refused any further medical treatment.
