With nearly 950 riders and over 90 teams already registered, the two-day ride takes place Friday and Saturday. A 100-mile ride on Friday kicks off the fundraising event starting in Lakeville and finishes in Westport. Norwalk Nurse Leads Cancer Survivors On Cycling Training Ride FAIRFIELD, Conn. – Norwalk’s Joyce Quinlan led a team of 22 cancer survivors on 25-mile bike ride Saturday as part of a training program for the upcoming Connecticut Challenge. Quinlan, a nurse at Norwalk Hospital and breast cancer survivor, is also a spinning instructor for the Connecticut Challenge. She is the captain for the team that will ride in the Challenge on July 26. Casali, 25, got the promotion after Tampa Bay's starting catcher Ryan Harrigan was placed on the disabled list. Casali will be the backup catcher to veteran Jose Molina. The accident occurred at 7:57 a.m. near Exit 14. The accident blocked the right lane.
