DeLeon's Goal Lifts Mercy College In Women's Soccer Opener DOBBS FERRY, N.Y. – Junior Jessica DeLeon scored in the 51st minute as the Mercy College women's soccer team defeated Pace University, 1-0, in its season opener on Thursday, Sept. 4. For Mercy, freshman Alyssa Iannuzzi took three shots, while DeLeon and senior Abby Zielinski each took two shots. MacKenzie Cochrane and Savannah Campana were over the field on defense, allowing only two shots on goal in the shutout victory. Young Darien Brothers Win Golf Titles At Rye Club DARIEN, Conn. -- Darien High School golfer Christian Ostberg won the men's club championship and his brother, Thomas, won the under-13 title last weekend at the Apawamis Club in Rye, N.Y.   Christian also won the under-17 Junior Club Championship, becoming the first player to win the Junior Club Championship and Men's Club Championship in the same year since 1984.
