Ex-Boyfriend Agrees To Pay Father $5M For Deadly Stamford Christmas Fire STAMFORD, Conn. -- The former boyfriend of the Stamford mother whose three young girls and parents were killed in an early Christmas Day fire in 2011 has agreed to pay the father $5 million, according to a story in the New York Post. Michael Borcina will pay the amount as part of a wrongful death lawsuit filed by Matthew Badger, the father of the girls, the Post said. At the time of the fire, Borcina was Madonna Badger's boyfriend and contractor. Borcina was sued for allegedly performing shoddy work and not equipping the home with fire detectors, the Post said. Waterbury Man Busted On Multiple Crack, Heroin Charges In Danbury DANBURY, Conn. -- Danbury officers arrested a Waterbury man on multiple drug possession charges on Wednesday, police said. Bryan Montalvo was arrested while he was sitting in a car with a women known to engage in prostitution on Foster Street, police said. After retrieving the illegal drugs that were in plain view, officers found a compartment in the car that contained a large quantity of heroin and crack cocaine, police said. Phyllis Ratliffe, 93; Pound Ridge Resident Served In Navy In WW II POUND RIDGE, N.Y. -- Phyllis Corinne Ratliffe, 93, of Blue Ash, Ohio, a longtime Pound Ridge resident, died Jan. 9. The youngest of three children, she was born to Genevieve and Robert More on Aug. 21, 1921 and raised in St. Paul, Minn. She attended Carelton College for two years until enlisting in the U.S. Navy on April 19, 1943. She served as a Link Instrument Flight Trainer in Hutchinson, Kan. until the end of World War II in September 1945. Phyllis married Thomas Ratliffe on March 3, 1945. She lived briefly in Santa Monica, Calif. before traveling across the country to Hempstead, N.…
