Ridgefield Bicycle Company Plans Kickoff Event For Junior Team RIDGEFIELD, Conn. -- The Ridgefield Bicycle Company will hold its kickoff event for its first Junior Cycling Team on Tuesday, Feb. 10. The kickoff event will be held at the store at 88 Danbury Road in Ridgefield from 6 to 8 p.m. Ridgefield Bicycle invites riders to learn more about the program and help the team. Families and riders ages 10 to 18 can meet fellow riders, learn about the club's goals and learn how they can help support the club. The team is road bike specific. Mount Vernon Mayor Davis Scheduled To Be Sentenced MOUNT VERNON, N.Y. -- Mount Vernon Mayor Ernie Davis is scheduled to be sentenced Friday after pleading to tax evasion charges. Davis, 76, has been investigated for years by the federal government for evading taxes on a Sanford Boulevard property he sold in 2003 and for failing to file income tax returns in 2011. Davis pleaded guilty in October to misdemeanor charges. He has steadfastly refused to resign as mayor since pleading guilty.
