Marie Taylor, 85, Longtime Stamford Resident STAMFORD, Conn. -- Marie Griffin Taylor, 85, of Stamford, died Thursday, March 19. Taylor was born on Dec. 31, 1929, in Newberry, S.C. She was the daughter of the late Eugene and Bertha Griffin. She graduated from Drayton Street High School in Newberry and moved to Stamford to pursue her career. She was married to the late Bruce "Pete" M. Taylor. She is survived by a sister, Vera Griffin; sister-in-law Amelia Goss; daughters Brenda Taylor-Wright (Sam), of Norwalk and Barbara Chapman (Bobby) of Newberry, S.C; two grandchildren; and five great grandchildren. Tina Eforo, 83, Lived In Scarsdale SCARSDALE, N.Y. -- Tina Eforo, 83, of Scarsdale, died Saturday, March 21. She is survived by her daughters, Joanne Sanantonio and Carla Liskin; son-in-law Steven Liskin; daughter-in-law Judith Berger Eforo; and seven grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband, John F. Eforo, and her son, John C. Eforo. Family will receive friends, Friday, March 27, from 3-5 and 7-9 p.m. at Edwin L. Bennett Funeral Homes, 824 Scarsdale Ave. In lieu of flowers, the family has requested donations be made to Westchester Hospice.

Hazlett, Lynch Win 6 Gold Medals For Greenwich Dolphins At State Meet GREENWICH, Conn. -- Paced by six gold medals each from Kate Hazlett and Meghan Lynch; three golds from William Belmont and a first-ever win by Ryan Bedell, as well as a winning state record relay effort, the Greenwich YWCA Dolphins Swim Team placed eighth overall in the recently completed Connecticut State Age Group Championships. Norwalk Mad Bull Wrestler Wins New England Youth Title NORWALK, Conn. -- Nemo Harris was crowned the New England champion as the Norwalk Mad Bulls wrestling team sent nine wrestlers to the New England Youth Wrestling Championships. Harris, a sixth-grader at Nathan Hale, led Norwalk's strong delegation of wrestlers. The top four wrestlers in each weight class from New England states met to determine regional champions in the two-day tournament. White Plains YMCA Hosting 'Healthy Kids' Lego Contest WHITE PLAINS, N.Y. -- White Plains YMCA is holding a Healthy Kids LEGO contest for children ages 6-14.
