Friends Of Karen Plans Golf Tournament In North Salem NORTH SALEM, N.Y. -- The ninth annual Friends of Karen golf tournament in memory of Erin O'Connor will be played on Monday, July 20, at Salem Golf Club in North Salem. The tournament is sponsored by Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage. Player registration begins at 10:30 a.m. Eileen and Mike O'Connor initiated this event to honor their daughter Erin, a Friends of Karen child, who died of a brain tumor at the age of 13. Rotary Club of Yonkers-East Yonkers Plans Summer Fundraiser Bash YONKERS, N.Y. -- Rotary Club of Yonkers-East Yonkers will hold its first Summer Fundraiser Bash on Thursday, July 16, at Yonkers Brewing Company. The bash will be from 6-9 p.m. at the Yonkers Brewing Company, at 92 Main St. Proceeds will go to the African Dream Academy, founded by Sam Enders. There will be raffles, a silent auction, food and open bar. Enders is the recipient of Rotary's "Service Above Self Award," and the money wil be used toward sending the students a used school bus. Eileen Smith Tobin, 79, Longtime Resident Of Ossining OSSINING, N.Y. -- Eileen Smith Tobin, a former longtime resident of Ossining, died on June 10. She was 79. Tobin was born in Ossining on Feb. 21, 1936 and was the daughter of Joseph and Winifred (Kenny) Meehan. She was a Court Clerk for the Village of Briarcliff Manor, and a communicant of St. Augustine’s Church in Ossining. Dr. G. Richard Parrino, Lived In Briarcliff Manor BRIARCLIFF, MANOR, N.Y. -- Dr. G. Richard Parrino, of Briarcliff Manor, died on June 10. Parrino was born in Brooklyn to Peter and Angelina Parrino. He was raised in Brooklyn and graduated from Most Holy Trinity High School in Brooklyn.
