Eastchester PTA Invites Parents to Mini-courses
EASTCHESTER, N.Y. -- The Eastchester High School and Middle School PTA will hold joint mini-courses on Tuesday. The PTA meeting at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday in the Eastchester High library will give an introduction to the High School Wise Program. The mini-courses are as follows: Art of Photograms with Patrick Perry. Neuroscience and the High School Parent with Doug Weisman and Joanne DiMase. Humanities with Jennifer Gavin. BRIARCLIFF, N.Y. -- Briarcliff High School students will present a story of the impossible in their take on a classic Rodgers and Hammerstein musical next weekend. The musical follows a young girl with a rough, lonely life who discovers she has a fairy godmother and can win the love of a prince. The contemporary version features classic songs such as "In My Own Little Corner," "Impossible/It's Possible" and "Ten Minutes Ago." WALDICK, N.J. -- The Waldwick/Midland Park High School wrestling team raised $5,100 at the fourth annual Staff Sgt. Joseph D'Augustine Wresting Tournament, according to NorthJersey.com. The tournament was founded in 2013 as a tribute to D'Augustine, who was killed while on his second tour of duty in Afghanistan, NorthJersey.com reported.
