Pleasantville native Jon Craig is special editor for the Westchester, Putnam, Rockland, Orange and Dutchess Daily Voice sites. He is also the primary reporter for Daily Voice Plus Politics in Westchester and Fairfield.

Jon graduated from Cornell University and received his master's degree in journalism from Northwestern University. Across a 35-year career, he's worked as a reporter for daily newspapers in Chicago, New York, Ohio & Washington, D.C and as managing editor for weekly newspapers in Rye, White Plains and Harrison.

Jon also writes periodically for the Cornell Chronicle.

Cumberland County Man Shot By Police Indicted For Attempted Murder: Prosecutor A Cumberland County man shot and wounded by police has been indicted on attempted murder charges, authorities said.  The suspect allegedly lunged at a police officer with a knife before the shooting, they said. Luis R. Conde-Perez, 29, of Vineland, was additionally indicted by a grand jury on Wednesday, July 26, for aggravated assault and weapons offenses, according to Cumberland County Prosecutor Jennifer Webb-McRae. The incident occurred on May 5 at a home on Birch Street in Vineland, according to county records. He is being held in Cumberland County Jail, the prosecutor said.
