Pleasantville native Jon Craig is special editor for the Westchester, Putnam, Rockland, Orange and Dutchess Daily Voice sites. He is also the primary reporter for Daily Voice Plus Politics in Westchester and Fairfield.

Jon graduated from Cornell University and received his master's degree in journalism from Northwestern University. Across a 35-year career, he's worked as a reporter for daily newspapers in Chicago, New York, Ohio & Washington, D.C and as managing editor for weekly newspapers in Rye, White Plains and Harrison.

Jon also writes periodically for the Cornell Chronicle.

Man Jumps Off NJ Transit Parking Garage In Central Jersey A man jumped to his death off a New Jersey Transit parking garage, authorities said. At approximately 3:30 p.m., Monday, Aug. 7, NJ Transit Police were notified by Woodbridge police that an adult male had jumped from the Metropark Station parking garage, they said. New Jersey Transit Police arrived on scene and the man was pronounced dead, they said. An active investigation led by the NJ Transit Police Department is ongoing.

Tornado Watch In Effect For South Jersey A tornado watch is in effect for 10 counties in New Jersey until 11 p.m. Monday Aug. 7, according to the National Weather Service. The tornado watch includes Mercer, Atlantic, Burlington, Camden, Cape May, Cumberland, Gloucester and Salem counties, the NWS said. Also, the tornado warning was extended to Hunterdon and Warren counties. There also is a watch for severe thunderstorms from Cumberland County north to Trenton.
